Andrea Rogers

Senior Accountant

Andrea Rogers joined NCF in 2024 as Accountant, bringing a strong background in nonprofit financial management and over 20 years of combined experience in healthcare and accounting.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Western Carolina University in 2014 and a Master of Accountancy from the Dixon Hughes Goodman Accountancy program at Western Carolina University in 2017. She spent ten years in healthcare at Mission Health in Asheville, N.C., and has held financial roles within nonprofit organizations for the past decade. Her experience reflects a deep commitment to supporting mission-driven work through accurate and efficient financial management.

Andrea lives in Mills River, North Carolina, with her husband, James. She enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Cheyenne Mendez

Accountant

Cheyenne Mendez joined NCF in 2025 as an Accountant, bringing a diverse professional background that spans accounting, management, and customer service.    

A native of St. George, Utah, Cheyenne earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2015 from Utah Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University in 2025. Cheyenne’s varied career path has shaped her passion for connecting with people, giving back, and creating positive experiences for those she works with.

In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys spending time with husband and three children, playing volleyball, baking/cooking, and taking on home improvement projects.

Heather Popa

Donor Relations Officer

Heather Popa joined NCF in 2025 as Donor Relations Officer, bringing over 20 years of professional experience in relationship-focused roles across the beverage, sports, and media industries. Heather is passionate about building genuine connections and supporting others with care and intention.

Originally from Ohio, Heather spent nearly a decade living on the island of Saipan before relocating to Las Vegas. Her diverse professional background has shaped her thoughtful and intentional approach to donor relations and client service, allowing her to connect with a wide range of individuals and organizations.

In her free time, Heather enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her dog.

Madison Martin

Business Development Associate

A proud second-generation Las Vegan, Madison brings a deep commitment to community and connection to his role as Business Development Associate at NCF. He supports the leadership team in serving clients and expanding the organization’s reach, helping donors create meaningful and lasting impact across Southern Nevada.

Madison’s career began in philanthropy and development before he transitioned into the legal field, working with a firm specializing in family law, bankruptcy, and real estate. He later joined the gaming and hospitality industry, playing a key role in opening Fontainebleau Las Vegas in December 2023, where he supported Learning & Development for a 6,500-member workforce and helped build the resort’s community outreach program.

A graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, Madison completed over 1,200 hours of community service during college—a reflection of his lifelong passion for giving back. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his French Bulldog, Roux.

Jordan May

Business Development Associate

Jordan May joined the Nevada Community Foundation (NCF) in 2025 as a Business Development Associate, bringing a strong background in nonprofit management, fund development, and relationship building. Originally from Portland, Oregon, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from California State University, Monterey Bay, where he also served as a legislative intern for the California State Assembly—an experience that sparked his commitment to public service.

He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Social Research from Newcastle University in England, where he also competed professionally in the British Basketball League for the Newcastle Eagles. His research explored the intersection of affordable housing development, public discourse, and policy in shaping community outcomes.

Before joining NCF, Jordan worked with the YMCA of Southern Nevada, managing grants and fundraising initiatives that advanced community programs.

Outside of work, Jordan is an avid reader of non-fiction literature and enjoys watching sports and exploring the natural and built landscapes of Southern Nevada.

Miriam Ponce-Ow

Office Administrative Assistant

Miriam brings a background in administrative support across both the public and private sectors, including experience in community initiatives and nonprofit program coordination. She has worked with organizations such as the San Diego Humane Society, school districts, and corporate teams, focusing on building partnerships, supporting families, and strengthening operations to keep them running smoothly. She enjoys connecting with people and finding ways to make a positive impact through her work.

When she’s not at the office, Miriam loves traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with her husband, family, and their two rescue dogs.
