Gian F. Brosco, Esq. President gian.brosco@nevadacf.org A recognized philanthropic leader and adviser in strategic philanthropy, Gian Brosco is the president of the Nevada Community Foundation. Hired in 2008, Gian is responsible for providing the vision and oversight of the Foundation. Prior to joining the Nevada Community Foundation, Gian served as vice president for the Philanthropic Management Group of the U.S. Trust/ Bank of America, providing counsel to institutional and private clients and serving as an expert for Bank of America on the subjects of philanthropy, planned giving, investment policy, and fiduciary and tax matters. Gian's expertise in the philanthropic sector started with his role as senior development officer and gift planning adviser for The Rhode Island Foundation, one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the country. An experienced estate planning attorney, Gian received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University and completed his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 1990. He is admitted to the Bars in Rhode Island and Texas, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Supreme Court and is a member of the Tax-Exempt Organization Committee of the American Bar Association.
Mary Jo Ball Philanthropic Services Officer maryjo.ball@nevadacf.org A native Nevadan, Mary Jo Ball serves as Senior Philanthropic Services Officer at the Nevada Community Foundation, where she works with donors, helping them to achieve their philanthropic dreams. Mary Jo brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in philanthropy, donor relations and program development and administration to her role. She has extensive community foundation experience, having served as Director of Community Outreach at the Community Foundation of Mendocino County, where she developed and implemented strategic development and marketing plans, coordinated the scholarship program, administered the annual grant program, and developed and managed the Arts for Our Future James Irvine Foundation initiative. She is the former Director of Development at Portland State University's School of Business and Oregon Health and Science University's School of Engineering in Portland, Oregon. Mary Jo earned her undergraduate degree as well as her Master of Public Administration from Portland State University.
Jane Ramos Executive Assistant jane.ramos@nevadacf.org Jane is the newest member to the Foundation's management team. She has over ten years' experience in management and administrative functions for executive leadership. She has extensive experience in both corporate and not for profit environments and has assisted a variety of C-level executives and senior management. Her recent experience in the nonprofit sector includes serving as the Executive Assistant to the CEO for Gilda's Club Worldwide, a New York City-based national cancer support organization founded by actor Gene Wilder in memory of his late wife, comedian Gilda Radner, and Boys Hope Girls Hope of Nevada, a year-round residential academic program for at-risk children ages 10 to 18. Jane holds a BA in Industrial Psychology from the University of St. Tomas in the Philippines. She and her husband have recently made Las Vegas their home, having moved from New York City.
