Community Expertise
Founded in 1988, and experiencing consistent growth, the Nevada Community Foundation has an extensive knowledge of, and expertise on, issues of importance to southern Nevada and the nonprofit organizations working to address them. We pride ourselves on knowing this community intimately and understanding its unique qualities. We visit nonprofit organizations and public entities on a regular basis and are familiar with who does what best. We evaluate these agencies using a set of extensive criteria to determine their effectiveness and impact in meeting community needs. At the request of our donors, we research agencies outside of Nevada.
The Nevada Community Foundation is the only community foundation in southern Nevada that meets all Council on Foundations standards of excellence.
