The Nevada Community Foundation is pleased to accept grant applications on behalf of the Community Outreach Division of the Golden Nugget.  Applications will be accepted for the Golden Nugget Uplifting Children Fund and the Golden Nugget Uplifting Neighborhoods & Community Health Agencies Fund grant cycle.

The deadline is

4:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 

The Golden Nugget Uplifting Children Fund and the Golden Nugget Uplifting Neighborhoods & Community Health Agencies Fund are two Funds of the Nevada Community Foundation that were established by the Community Outreach Division of the Golden Nugget. 

• The Uplifting Children Fund seeks to support programs which provide strong prevention and/or intervention programs that empower young people to succeed in school. 

• The Uplifting Neighborhoods and Community Health Agencies Fund seeks to support programs that foster safe and vital communities where people live, work, and raise families.  Key areas of investment are revitalizing neighborhoods, self-sufficiency programs, shelters, and high-risk health agencies. 

Both Funds provide grants to 501(c)(3) public charities and to governmental agencies.  This year, grants will generally be awarded up to $5,000.00.  It is expected that charities will hear about funding decisions early in May.

Please download the current grant guidelines, application instructions, cover sheet with application questions, and budget form for this grant cycle. Please review the guidelines carefully both to determine if your organization meets the criteria outlined therein and to ensure that your submission is complete.
